Another one with his motorcycle stopped at the dealership for this problem, although in mine they also indicate something about the brake pump.
Interesting if the master cylinder then it may impact more than just the Billet package owners...hummm..

In my opinion, all these issues are just the sign of the times we're in and the fallout from the pandemic. It's just not BMW but other companies and industries having QC problems. I recently had a discussion with an appliance repairman concerning my refrigerator. I was on the right track to fix the problem but he filled in the gaps. Probably the easiest $100 house call fee he's ever had for 15 minutes of his time. Anyways, I asked him if I wanted to replace my refrigerator which one would he recommend. He said none of the current ones. He went on to say new ones are failing for a bunch of different issues along with parts he's been using to repair refrigerators having issues too. He suggested if I can keep my refrigerator going to do so as long as I can to hopefully ride out the current supply chain issues.

Appliances are made like garbage today. Appliance place I use wont even sell certain brands like Samsung because there are way to many issues. They tell me you are lucky to get 7 years out of appliances made today.

Totally agree. My refrigerator is around 15 years old if not a bit older. The funny thing is it's a GE but a rebranded Samsung. The repair guy said my GE corrected for many of the ice maker problems that have plagued Samsung (ie the current class action lawsuit) as the way it provides cold air to the ice maker and the water system is GE designed.

But he also backed up what you've said. He won't work on any Samsung because of the multiple of reliability issues and problems getting parts.

I have a Maytag washer and dryer that's coming up on 22 years old. They're just the basic units with mechanical dials. There's something to be said about KISS.

Its like bikes today, to many electronic gismos. I had good luck with GE, most of the appliances lasted over 20 years.
These new washers hardly put any water inside, its a joke. Then you have the front loader washers that are notorious for getting mold, one big reason I dont have one. Now I have LG washer and dryer it comes with 10 year warranty on motor.
My appliances are mixed breeds now, LG, Bosch, GE, Matag.

uh oh, not sure I'm going to like the "bmw experience". I have the M levers on my 2023, haven't heard from the dealer though. If it's the pin vibrating out, I suppose I could maybe drip some threadlock down into the hinge or wrap it with electrical tape so pin can't work itself out....until BMW comes out with a more elegant solution.
