Been thinking of trying this as I don't want to spend $$ on the GS911. I am looking at the ELM327 adapters.
k47 is S1000R - you wont need an adapter, just the OBDLink LX and Motoscan Professionalwhen I look it up I see K47

Question is, will the bike throw me error codes once I replace the left (horn, signal) and right side (kill switch) with new ones? It is not aesthetically pleasing to me to see one side new and the other side ugly.
The above task made me explore the need to clear codes and led me here
Let me give back a little to this community. The bike won't throw codes if you replace the switch blocks with the correct part numbers.
Is this the one below?Ugg... after reading thru the 16 pages now I’m starting to think that I should go with the MX version just because no one has definitively said that they got the LX version to work...?? If the firmware needs to be updated prior to using I may be somewhat in a bind because all we have are 2 GM vehicles and the LX model does not work with late model GM vehicles.
I wonder if Amazon will accept a return if it has been tried/used? If yes, I would try the LX right out of the box first but if not then I should just order the MX. I know electronics can be a sticky situation regarding returns...!!

U right, motoscan is crap, even resetting service light, it has limitations only set to 10,000 like seriously I should service my bike every 10k🤔🤣🤣🤣Reviving this thread. I have 2022 XR and LX dont work. The only working is reset service which is pathetic. It can do the same as my $9 obd.
i have the ultimate license. The coding is not showing and most of the menu don’t function. I just spend nonsense and i should bought GS-911 instead
Yes this can only clear codes and reset service interval, its useless even in ultimate version, on my 2012 s1kIs this the one below?

@Sal R1 , I'm having intermittent quickshifter issues on my '15 K46. After some research, it appears I need to reset the transmission adaptions. Don't have a GS911 and am intrigued by MotoScan. Will the MotoScan app also clear the Q/S adaptations?I apologize for not clarifying. I had tye dame issue on a different model BMW & the firmware update resolved it.
Ive never used it on a S series bike but I can tell you it's worked as advertised for my K series. Moreover the OBD single "green one" is very capable & I've used it on several vehicles with success. Right up there in the top 20 tools I've purchased in the past 25 years of it means anything@Sal R1 , I'm having intermittent quickshifter issues on my '15 K46.
