Couldn't find all the info on the forum.

Any USB charger installs?

Just simple USB plug in.

Any switched taps on the bike that can be used?

Ideas? Trying to avoid cigarette lighter style powerlet installs

Any one got this working on a HP4?

Got the connector from BMW it only fits on the right side the left side is slightly different, plugged it in and wires 1 and 3 give 11v when switched off and 0.8v when switched on

Got the dork as well connected that and phone doesn't charge switch on or off.

I really don't want to tap any Oem wires

So now looking for a suitable switched power for hp4, any suggestions where to tap?

On my HP4 I connected LED side lights to this 3 pin connector as well and I remember that pin 3 doesnt work like expected/described - then I used pin 2 which has a 20seconds delay switch off and it's working like expected !
Just use pin 1 and 2 instread 1 and 3 :nerd: My cable got numbers on it so 1 is the middle cable (ground) and one of the other 2 will do the trick.

Left side plug is for the 2D fork sensor only !

I just ran a USB cable to the back to a saw dongle which has a on/off switch. Only need it for long rides and I can just unplug it or turn it off when not riding.

A much simpler solution.

Battery Tender USB port and a home made SAE battery lead with a 3 amp fuse in it.

SAE connection is in just under the speedo.

That means easy to plug in a battery charger,or my satnav or phone,no need to be running long leads everywhere.

Also means that I dont need to take off the rear seat cowl either.

Cheap n cheerfull flexi satnav case off Ebay for 8 euro, and its bolted on to the mirror/fairing bracket with the mirror nut.
Have all my music on my satnav,so happy days when touring.

Simples.

I had my dealer installer a powerlet connector when I bought the bike. That's pretty much what all bmws have, so dealers will usually have the connectors behind the shelf. I then use adapters for USB or whatever. It is not powerful enough for heated clothes, but my gopro and cell phone work great. The tech tapped into the headlight power without triggering anything in the canbus. If I can see where it is hooked in without removing the fairings, then I can point it out to you.

The plug turns on/off with the bike. The location of the plug itself is almost the same as Japcati's location, except mine is attached to one of those screws you see in his photo, which holds in the headlamps. The dealer made it look nice, almost like it was stock. I will grab a snapshot when I get home.

Ok, I didn't take the left fairing off, but it is wired near the turn signal harness. I can't really show you exactly where, but there is apparently a 12v accessory plug on the left side.

This post looks to have info about it:

Here is what the plug looks like... It is $75 though. It doesn't stand out as much as the pictures show. I angled to get as much light in there for the pic.
