A much simpler solution.

Battery Tender USB port and a home made SAE battery lead with a 3 amp fuse in it.

SAE connection is in just under the speedo.

That means easy to plug in a battery charger,or my satnav or phone,no need to be running long leads everywhere.

Also means that I dont need to take off the rear seat cowl either.

Cheap n cheerfull flexi satnav case off Ebay for 8 euro,and its bolted on to the mirror/fairing bracket with the mirror nut.
Have all my music on my satnav,so happy days when touring.
