Hi all,

I’ve got a 2018 S1000RR and am after an OBD2 connector and app as I need to reset my service reminder. So far I found this Bluetooth connector, but I have an iPhone X and the MotoScan app isn’t available for iPhones, rather only Android devices.

Is there another app that anyone knows of that I could use with this connector on my iPhone?

Thanks,
Nik

Buy a cheap used Android tablet ($20?, unless you already have an old Samsung Galaxy'ish one) on Craigslist and buy Motoscan software ($40) MotoScan - smart scanner app for handheld terminals. Then buy the OBDLink LX for $60-70. Still half the cost of GS911 and will reset all maintenance and error codes. Been using for last 4 years and it has never failed me. Has saved me a ton of coin at BMW service because I prefer to do my own scheduled maintenance. Have a pre- 2016 round "dog-down" reader from OBDII reader I'll give you if you need and go this route. I've used this scan tool on my K48/49/69 BMW's.

Thanks for the info. The idea of a cheap Android device and the OBDLink LX sounds good. Cheap, simple, easy and will do the job. I don’t understand your last 2 sentences though…?

I agree with the iOs capability. Luckily I has a Samsung Galaxy 3 given to me years ago which I never used. And yes, the OBDLink LX is what I've use on my K49's and K69. When running Motoscan app, make sure you are not running the OBDLink app in the background. They conflict each other out. FlameShooterScooter...you're at bat. Send me an address and I'll figure out shipping.

If you know someone near you who has a GS-911, maybe spot them some $$$ to use theirs. The GS-911 can support up to 10 x vehicle VINs. Saves you having to dick around with getting a Android device + App + OBDLink LX.

The GS-911 is worth it's weight in gold.

Hey fellow aussie. I bet it is at $550. My mate has an Android device and the same bike and yesterday said that he will buy the OBD2 connector and get the MotoScan app, so i may be very lucky and not have to buy anything at all, rather just pay him a visit and reset the service reminder using his connector and phone :)

FlameShooterScooter. I just purchased an older GS911 tool to read my K69. So, so sorry, need adapter to go backwards to my bike. If it doesn't work the way I think it will, the adapter is yours and I'll pay shipping as a way to say I'm sorry for offering it to you, then snatching it away like a douche nozzle.
