what is the correct abs sensor gap?
no play here, i have idea to shorten edge of pinch bolt to 1mm, after that problem with calipers go away, but the gap middle ring and abs sensor will be 2-2.3 mm. It is for this reason that I ask is not whether the gap of 2-2.3 mm largeHave you checked the bearings? A bad bearing would allow the wheel to move enough to close the sensor gap. I would remove the calipers and try to move the wheel from side to side, there should be no play.
I am the second owner of the motorcycle, and the motorcycle likely to fall, but I have 2 seasons. and all right, thank God)Try it. If its still is too big you can shim the bracket so that it's closer to the ring. But still I wonder how it was OK before and now it's not. Something is going on. Is the fork bent maybe, did you run into something or the bike fell over?
i put 1mm thicknes washers under the bracket #11, and everything is good now. Thank you for help!:laugh:Shim under the bracket that holds the sensor - perhaps you will have to remove the wheel to do this. Or maybe the more brutal method, bend the bracket a little bit. #11 on the diagram.
Are you certain that there is no dirt or anything under the sensor that is stopping it from seating fully?
maybe because i have right fork leg 2010, and left fork leg 2012Great! Still don't understand how this happened though.
i have no experience and tools to do that (remove forks)...:frown2:Being from Prague, you would not likely understand my usual Roger Clemens reference of "mis-remembering", but I went back and looked at the Alpha wheel instructions, and I was wrong.....by a smidge.....sucks getting old and trying to rely on memories that are inaccurate.
ACHTUNG: Der Abstand Sensor – Sensorring muss 0,8-1,7mm betragen!
I was close, but you mentioned it was fixed so you must have settled between the range where the four values overlap.
Like @skapan said I too wonder how it got out of alignment, or were you trying to say in your earlier post that you thought it may have fallen on it's side, during previous ownership? If so, did you remove both forks, and check for true? (Straightness)
