CAN-Bus battery tender work on a 2018 s1000rr

I have a 2018 s1000rr. I want to get a battery tendor to keep the battery in good shape until spring. I see BMW sells a CANBUS version as does TecMate and a few others. Does the 2018 s1000rr have a CANBUS connector I can use or do I just go with a standard battery tender and forget the CANBUS?

If it has a CABBUS connector what type of cable is compatible?

I believe CANBUS outlets are all switched outlets, meaning they turn on/off with the key...so not for battery chargers.

You just need a Battery Tender pigtail that goes directly from the battery terminals and has an SAE adapter on the end. That pigtail adapter can be tucked up under, or ziptied to, the subframe when not connected to a ‘Tender.

buy a battery tender jr and install pigtails on the battery side, i have all my bikes done this way haven't lost a battery yet

Got the battery tender jr.

Just did that. The battery tender jr arrive earlier today and I just finished connecting it to the battery. It is charging now.

There is no CANBUS connector on the RR. Many of the other models do have it, that's why the BMW charger is sold with the connector harness. If anyone needs one, I have a few......
