OEM S1000RR NISSIN Master Cylinder Specs.

Looking at all these options not sure what the differences are.

I understand that one element is the bore size, and I think we need a 19mm unit for the S1000rr if I recall correctly but what is the signfigance of things like ...

Billet vs Forged
Radial vs. RCS
"Brembo High Performance" vs. "Brembo Racing"

Hello All, I searched the forum but I cant find the specs ( Piston Diameter and Piston Travel ) of OEM S1000RR Nissin Master Cylinder. Will be thankful if someone tell me.

What are you trying to accomplish?

I swapped out my stock master and replaced it with an RCS19 Brembo and could not be happier. Difference is like night and day. Way better braking now. Just my opinion but from what most people I've talked with they all concur. Dan Kyle can beat most prices as well. Also, these come with the double banjo bolt, you need a single, but also the stock OEM banjo bolt on your bike will work fine. Same thread and length. I ordered the extra brake reservoir but did not use it. I used the stock one, and ordered brake line hose clamps, the one time use ones, same as rear early K100 for fitment, and clamped the stock hose on. Works great, no leaks, stops better than before, and I'm happy. Hope this helps, Alyson
IF you're still around...

So you were able to use the stock hose and reservoir? I had thought the hose diameters were different? Perhaps just a good clamp was enough to prevent any leaking.

Diameter is different, so I used some extra Samco silicone hose from my overflow which I deleted after installing 1.8 bar rad cap. This works with the oem reservoir and 19rcs, with zip ties to keep things snug.

I tried to get the stock line to work but after dumping brake fluid on myself when the hose popped off I said forget it!

It is always the very best idea to make some *******-tuning to front brake.
But the good thing is that Darwin alwalys collects Brownie points, and gene pool gets better.
for example, remove brake pads before spraying caliper with wd-40 for cleaning...i cheated darwin that time

Dear god man.

The Brembo are 6mm reservoir tubing, Nissin are 8mm. You can fit the 6mm tubing over the oem reservoir if you give it a little heat in some boiling water usually. But since I don't race and instead have a spare $50 I just bought the Brembo reservoir to simplify the controls if I wanted to move them around without worrying about line length to the oem reservoir position on the top triple.

I think I have some actual 6mm brake reservoir tubing somewhere I can give you a snip of if I can find it. What is the dot fluid doing to the inside of that coolant hose? :O

the silicone swells a bit, less than tygon does, once it starts to sweat i will replace it. only needs to last this weekend. i'd take some 6mm brake tubing if you have it :grin2:

I ordered it last year, so I should have some.

From my e-mail invoice from Kurvey Girl -
Tygon 2075 / 2375 Tubing - ID: Tygon 2075 / 2375 Tubing - ID: 1/4in (6.35mm) - AJK00017

SJ BMW installed my RCS 19 a couple years ago using the stock res, stock tubing and 2 clamps. No problems or leaks.
