Is that silver a Matte finish or gloss? Hard to tell from my iphone. These are the first images I have seen of the 2014.... IF those are the actual 2014s... I see the shift linkage still goes through the frame, which is different from the 2014 Spy photos I have seen...

Maybe new 2014 paint schemes on 2013 bikes for display only?

I'm dying to see what the 2014s look like, i'm ready to buy one ASAP..

Would have to be 2014 paint on 2013 bc no DDC either...if these are in fact 2014 colors.

Is the upper cowl WHITE on the grey/black one or is it silver? Hard to tell from my phone... If its white, thats a no deal for me..:(

Hopefully there are other colors coming out besides those....or else I'll be buying a granite grey '13...

It does have the black swing arm like the spy photos... I also notice a black front fender which is different from the gray fender on the 2013s. Upper cowl is lighter in color then the side fairings, which is opposite of the 2013s as well..

These are official colors guys. LOL Not some shady picture from an unknown source that is reads "Spy photos!".

These are from BMW Motorrad themselves over in eastern Germany right now.

+1

I have been waiting to pull the trigger on a new '13 but was "unmotivated" by the '13 color choices and was hoping for something killer looking on the 2014s...

Hell I like the '13 colors better..

I'm still gonna hold out a bit and see what, if any improvements were made on the '14s... If not, ill buy a granite grey '13..

I REALLY wish they would do the Thunder Grey color scheme again with the gunmetal colored wheels and swingarm... That bike was beautiful..

Who ever worked out those color schemes should be shot and thrown over the wall at the Honda factory....lol. Nope...like the old colors MUCH more.

And why would they do the DDC as standard on the S1KRR as it is ONLY on the HP 4 now,,,,they will loose all sales of the HP 4 if they do that. I think it might be an option....but not standard.

I'm very disappointed with the colors. Very. I may just end up with another red and white one. I was so looking forward to the new color schemes. I think both of the colors are drab.

but -1 for putting the "RR" logo on the tank.
There are people in here that have removed the RR , including me.
RR is for race ready. This bike is way far from it... And every single factory bike from any company.
If you ask me, any company that uses RR on a bike, thinks that final customer is fool.
To BMW: make a bigger ''S''. This model is S1000, not RR.
Was a joke for the CBR's before three years. Now it's on our heads:mad:

No, it was way too rediculous there! I was talking with another rider there and said the estimations of the number of people who had made the trip to this small town were 30-40k so I decided not to attend any of the events this year. Sorry couldn't be more help but had to make my trip down there more exciting!

I ended up writing it off and took off for the Stelvio Pass instead ;)
