I live in TEXAS and always exceed the limits by at least 5MPH over, but they say you are safe at 9 over.. OK, maybe it was 99 over once or twice in my riding on the Dragon.
Heheheh MaxWrist now lives in Utah ? ;)

I’m all for obeying the law, I decided at the beginning of this year to quit riding street and do track days a few times a year.

However, regarding the rider that got away I’m surprised the local magistrate has gone as far as asking the public for help. With all the BS currently going on in this country they just can’t focus on a more tangible crime. No one was hurt, cops lost a race and they are taking it personal lol!

Anywho, the guy has to leave the house sooner or later I’m sure he will repeat his M.O. soon. I assume if the cops roll vins through the DMV they can narrow it down, they still can’t identify the rider though.

I didn’t see any plate in the pictures and the color scheme is pretty common so im not sure how easy it will be to have the person found. I would suggest to that person to get some different gear and helmet

LOL.

This is kind of timely. I was watching one of those Youtube channels that have police dash/body cams. It was some guy on a motorcycle trying to run from the police. And with most of these videos, I keep thinking.....if you're going to run from the police....at least know how to ride your motorcycle. Most of these guys suck at riding and I'm thinking, if it were hypothetically me on that bike, I'd be long gone.

A friend of mine got the special treatment from the police. He was going fast enough to warrant an aerial unit to follow him. He had no idea the police were tracking him until he came up to a road block. He knew it was for him. He just pulled over, shut his bike off, and pulled his helmet off. Of course cops approach with guns drawn. He was very polite and cooperative with the cops. One of the cops took his driver's license and went to check on his record. Came back with a warning and told him to slow it down. The cherry on top was before he left my buddy, he said the aerial unit wanted to relay a message. Cop said, the aerial unit has never seen someone speeding that fast but yet was very polite in how he was passing vehicles. LOL. Friend says he has that warning framed and hanging in his home office.

A little off-topic, but related...I saw an article this morning that the Pa State Police (IIRC) had arrested a kid who passed a trooper at 146 mph in a Hyundai Elantra! No doubt he was speeding, but come on. 146 in an Elantra? I'd say that radar gun needs calibrating.

Maybe he was clocked falling off a cliff?

I don't see how the S1k can do one hour plus of 100+mph. I would have run out of gas within 100 miles lol.

Shows what I know about modern cars. I take back my post. Maybe the kid was in an N line Elantra. Who knew?
I'm the 90s in LA, CA, high speed chases were so frequent that several start-up companies for a monthly service fee would page you with the TV channel that was showing it live! 😂

I remember those times. People were actually looking to get into a police chase so they could be on TV. Some of the guys doing it were actually leaning out the window waving at the helicopters circling above.

That's right. Lol.. Crazy times. LA was the police chase capital of the world back then. I think it still is.

In Ireland if your stopped over 100mph you might get jail. So you might as well make a attempt.

Oddly iv never been pulled in over 6 years :sneaky:
