fair. i remember my exwife being on the back of the first chopper i built griping about something and i said i would never build a chopper with a passenger seat again for that reason haha.
LOL I can relate!

Back in the early '80's, I had this G/F with an amazing figure with giant boobs, but man would she drone on, typical SoCal dumb blonde. We were riding one day and since I only had one M/C helmet (mine), she didn't have one. She had her head off to my right side blathering on in my ear about something then suddenly she shut up mid-sentence then started coughing and choking and slapping me on the back. I asked what the hell was up and she started whining about how she'd just eaten a bug! I started laughing and told her "That'll teach you to keep your mouth shut!". Yeah, it didn't last long after that... :ROFLMAO:

Here's a vid of how I installed mine. I have a special bracket i made, but video would apply to whatever mount is used. Covers BMW wiring pigtail, phone pairing, Sena comms, etc.
Nice vid about install, will try to make it work.
I searched around and the Uniden R7 was rated as best overall ! Lots of excellent reviews which surprised me since escort and passport I’ve had in the past. So purchased it and didn’t find it motorcycle friendly for mounting and hookup, it’s now in my car. But would like to make it work on my the bike because that’s where I need it the most!
It’s damn impossible to keep these S1K below speed limit, it simply just can’t be done! and by some miracle of physics you accomplish this than you might aswell just leave it in the garage, what‘s the point!

there's lots of ways to mount on a bike. my aprilia has the mount that goes in the stem, which i fought with, but like how it sits. i have an integrated passport in the 911, and i've honestly been extremely happy with it, many less false alarms, solid system. I went with the V1 though since on the bike, i'm dependent on the phone/app system, and the v1g2 is way better for bluetooth reliability than the v1 with the dongle. i've got jbv1 working solid on the phone. v1 app doesn't stay operating when you hibernate the screen. yav1 is what i used to use, but had better luck lately with jbv1.

the old v1 also use to get a false laser signal at about 7-8k despite trying to adjust/block the shift light, v1g2 doesn't have it. i was willing to try an escort on the s1k, but only if i could try an integrated component system. i just couldn't get anybody from the integrated side of the business to call me back. not sure they even sell those kits or just install them through dealers or what. i got impatient and just went with the v1g2.

yes, a beast that does 90 in first gear is impossible to keep caged or on a leash! holler with any questions and good luck!
