Stock Suspension - how does it rate?

I would imagine that you might need to submit your weight for a proper response.
I do believe that the stock suspension was optimized for a 180 pound or so rider. I upgraded to Ohlins forks and rear shock almost immediately, but then again, I weigh in at around 240 or so (without gear) and most stock suspensions simply don't cut it for me (particularly on Michigan roads). I was told by the BMW team rider that the suspension upgrade was one of the biggest bang for the buck mods to be done to this bike (either the cartridge kits or the Ohlins forks), as well as the rear shock assembly swap out. A quality fork spring and revalve may do trick as well, for somewhat less cash outlay.
I agree, your weight will be the biggest factor. I just had mine set up for my weight, and although I need to confirm my sag numbers for front and rear, I think it feels pretty good. But the main thing is at 170 pounds I didn't run out of sag. The bad part is the rebound is at 10, so no more tweeking if I feel I need it.
