If you are within return period, you can always return BT.

Well, at one point I was considering a brentune. After a couple of phone calls, where I left voicemails (no call backs from them), and a couple of emails, for which I never got a response, I opted to take my business elsewhere. Just my anecdotal experience.
Which flash did you go with?

I had the added complication of having to purchase a windows box. Our household is strictly Apple, except for my wive's work computer (we can add third party apps at the risk of lossing her job). All the windows boxes I could find, which met the minimum system requirements were selling for $400 to $600. The money would have been a pain, since I would use only a couple times to extract the current data, and replace the old ecu flash. He found me a cheap windows box thru amazon for under $288.
You don't need to buy anything. Apple supports virtual machine to load windows, just need to spend an hour or so to do it. Then you grant it access to hardware, now you have a virtual windows box running on your Mac.
