That 14oz filet was quite good.
Nicely cooked by the look of the color in the center.

Arrgggg!! Just had a bear rip the top off my freezer and make off with 2 chickens, rack of ribs, prime ribeye steak and 3 pounds of scallops! I built a bear proof “vault” lid for it chained down! Bastard! Now I sleep with a 10mm next to the bed as we sleep with the house wide open for night cooling.

You have shiitake growing in your garden?! Or just the asparagus I suspect. Great looking meal!
Shiitake mushrooms were growing out of a log that we put spores in a few years ago. The last couple years it produced smaller mushrooms, but this year was a bumper crop with larger caps.
