The new X15 is coming out in a couple of months. Was hoping to pick up some deals on left over X14, specifically the NORICK 04. Used to get my Shoei’s from @RidersDiscount, but they don’t seem to be selling Shoei anymore.

Who else in the States have the best deals on Shoei’s?

Check w Revzilla. I have the matte black X14 w transitions shield and it is by far the best helmet i ever wore. If u can get in direct contact w the Revzilla store in Costa Mesa CA on Newport Blvd. they had quite a few last time i went in, asking about the X15 release date. They keep calling me about the one w the feather on the side(i ride a gen 1 hayabusa, aka peregrine falcon aka bird aka feathers lol).dont know bout the Norick. AwesomeAwesome helmet but im waiting for the X15. And if it sucks(highly unlikely) i will be buying that feather X14 so dont SWOOP IN( lol get it) and take it. Good luck on the hunt.

I can get you taken care of, just not sure if it's worth it after shipping price. But please reach out to me if you want to get pricing from me on Shoei helmets.
What do you have in the X14 range? Medium? Has anyone else bought from you? Vouch?

I haven't found where the really good deals are and I've been looking. So far everywhere I looked hasn't even come close to what I paid for my X14. That's outside of finding my size.
It all depends on closeout and available sizes/colors and what's being discontinued. Any resellers/distributors agree to a MAP (Minimum Advertising Policy) which means we can't sell it lower than a certain price (usually 5% under retail is max discount). Now, what is discussed in an email/phone/text is different since that's not being advertised. If companies are found to violate MAP, they usually get the boot.

Are the Shoeis really worth the money? I’m interested..
So I am biased with Shoei since their helmets are the only ones that fit my head shape. I would love to wear an Arai, but my head is more oval than round. So before committing to a brand, see what fits your head best.

With that being said, I stand behind the product. I smacked my head at the track going about 65/70 mph and was lucky enough to walk away with some redness on my forehead/temple area. I sell a lot of Shoei helmets and not once have I had anyone have an issue.

They are in business and not filling for bankruptcy. So enough people see value in them. They are DOT, and Snell certified. Just a question of whether you want to spend the money - a personal choice. I myself like them(styling, safety), but can't get them to fit my head. Tried on an X14 about a week ago. It actually fit, but trying to get my glasses on was a pain (got it done). YMMV, my $0.02 worth.

Are you a dealer? If so, can we take this to PM?

Also, on your testimony about Shoei helmets, I saw it first hand on the track too. It wasn't me but one of the guys in my group. He high sided and landed square on his head. I don't know how fast he was going, but it was at a decent pace as it was at VIR going into turn 7. He walked away without even a concussion.

Nice! What are the differences to the X14?

Here's a video going over the differences. Maruyama, Japanese racer, goes over his on track impressions of both the X14 and X15. The lady reporter does a decent job of translating what he's saying but I also turned on closed captioning.

Based on what he's said, the X15 is 200g lighter. Has much better aerodynamics especially at higher speeds. He said he's able to more easily turn his head with the X15 compared to the X14. There is more visibility in the tucked position because the top end of the visor opening is 5mm higher. He also mentioned the padding has been updated to make the X15 more comfortable. There's also a new locking mechanism for the visor. The visor clicks into the helmet from the front now. There's also a revised race lock that allows easier locking of the visor. The baseplate where the visor is hinged to also has a new locking mechanism. Both of these were done for safety to ensure the visor doesn't come off in a crash. Maruyama also said at higher speeds the new locking mechanism keeps the visor sealed to the helmet and the result is drastically lower wind noise.

As a side note and what's interesting is their tangent on helmet pricing in Japan versus overseas. They said pricing can be almost double. They did mention with the X15 the pricing seems to be 30 to 40% more outside of Japan.
