Is there a technical reason...track rules reason...etc. that is stopping BMW from adding keyless ride to the S1000RR?
Makes sense and similarly M2/M3/M4 should come standard w/manual seatsweight and function.
track bikes dont need push to start as many use the relocation EWS module hardware. Push to start has an additional wiring harness and it is complicated programming inside the ECU.
I have it on my F900XR and it’s nice to keep the key in my pocket. In fact same with the cars. It’ll be strange using a key again. No thanks. I know I know. XYZ has keyless ignition and it's been reliable. Something that simple, I'd rather keep old fashioned. A buddy of mine with a brand new KTM Superduke was having all sorts of issues with his keyless ignition on a group ride we went on.
