I hope you mean heated gimble controlled cup holder!
Well, you are correct. What was I thinking. Knowing BMW, the gimbal would be an option, and a heated gimbal would be an option on top of the option. For only 500usd. But I do have to ask, why would you want your beer warmed? ;)

Come on you guys, you all want one, just admit it.

In the sport bike category is there anything that tops this bike?
In what regard? The refreshed Ducati V4 is the best looking bike on the market IMO. In addition, the V4 does everything very well. The big downsides of the V4 are the excessive heat and upcharge for aftermarket parts.

So, as an owner of both bikes, would you say the new 2023 BMW S1000RR is better than the V4?, about the same, or the V4 tops it?
Granted there are no ride reports on the new BMW but just comparing your bikes, do you have a preference for one over the other or do you "love" them for different reasons?

I prefer the beamer, but thats just for cruise alone. The v4 for sound. Both bikes deliver power much different. They both handle great and pull hard. I really couldn't decide which one if I had to. Its a great day to walk in the garage and decide which one I want to ride that day.

Owning both I can attest their cost to maintain and mod is similar.

All liter bikes are hot. I do not find Ducatis appreciably worse than any other, but I am always in full leathers, not shorts and flip-flops. :)
I would argue the Ducati is much more to mod if Akrapovic is your exhaust of choice. I have Akra on all my vehicles so it's another $6K on top of the $34K for the V4S where the BMW is significantly cheaper. I actually like the R1M a lot, but they are pretty hard to come by and the dealers in my area all have insane ADMs. The going rate for an R1M is $32.9 and the V4S $34K OTD in my area and the V4S is a better machine IMO.

My last Ducati was a 1299S and it was so hot my leg would turn red, regardless of clothing choice. My local Ducati dealer scared me off a new V4S because he told me heat was still an issue after I asked questions about the reviews I have read on the topic.

If I could only have one bike, it would be the BMW for sure, no question.

Congrats! Assuming sjbmw? What’s your spec?
Thanks! Lightwhite which is the M Package by default. I chose to keep the Carbon Wheels. And I also kept the standard seat cover instead of the optional passenger kit.

Dynamic Package. And the tire pressure monitor which was a standalone option.

San Jose would’ve been a good choice but SF is local to me so I went with them.
