Yes but Shift cam is the biggest issue with all series, its dead weight and reciprocating mass the race teams don't need. It screws the mapping up at change over. Its not about the flat out power its how it upsets the bike mid corner.

I see the rear brake is underslung as the M. Curious no one is talking about this if in fact that makes it to the 2023.
I think that is the updated M1000RR. Not the S. The wouldn't have brake coolers or giant wings.

However using a standard swingarm and the same brakes is a cost benefit. So moving to the current M's setup on to the S is probably going happen.

The photos and the narrative Benny put up are referring to the S. Unless I'm making the wrong assumption with the pictures being posted and the narrative discussing the changes for the S1000RR immediately below it.
I know whats written but it doesn't make sense, the pictures are of a WSBK focussed machine.

I dont think they will have red this year if you take a look at the S1000R colors, they get rid of red color for that model. And that number is general sale number for Canada. Your reliable source should stop inventing planets from his bum.
What the R and RR do paint wise is often different

Well I've now seen the new bike. Mainly cosmetic changes. Not all that different really. Don't think I'll be trading my 21 in for it though. May as well wait for next update.
Supposedly the changes are focussed around the nose, would you concur?

How about the tail, is it more like the R?

I'm not digging those wings if accurate, they look really basic which I can't believe they are if this is the 2nd iteration. More concerning....where do I rest my starbucks coffee in future?

New SRR is prettier though the dark blue is nice.

That is ALL business.

  1. Aero Wheel covers!
  2. Those wings ARE huge! And maybe somehow OK 😬
  3. Big intake
  4. New front mudguard...the whole front end is markedly different to the SRR.
  5. Is that swingarm even longer?
  6. That's a lot of carbon around the dash
  7. Side panels are visibly different to '23 SRR
  8. How is that going to fit with the 35k euro base bike cost that WSBK stipulates? Are we looking at the 40k euro optioned up version and there will be a less pimped base model?
