Good Call
Any details on how it was stolen? If a track bike usually it's an inside job.
Tasteful mods, this must hurt.

Hurts bad.

Was parked directly out in front of hotel - under carport - see pics.

I'm sure you filed police report. Were you able to request video footage from hotel and places near by to identify thief's car?

Is this the hotel by Barber track?

Did you have any insurance on bike?
Damn! Yeah this is the world we live in - can't leave anything outside a hotel. Good idea to keep a GPS tracker on the bike and lock the trailer to the car + lock the bike to the trailer + I even put a motion sensor alarm on it. It's gutting to loose a bike like this.

+1 on the footage there must be tons of cameras tracking the entrance.
Damn, so they also stole the trailer too?

This reminds me of what happened at NJ Motorsports Park a while ago where some thieves ran off with some trailers with bikes in them in the paddock area...if I recall correctly.
Oh man Rush, I'm so sorry to see this happen to you, my friend. That sucks. You're such a great guy, and I miss you. Should have taken it up you your room, like at your place in Tacoma where you built your first FrankenS1K in your 3rd floor apartment.
Dang 50k bike strapped to a 50 dollar uhaul.

I’m having a really hard time believing that no one on staff at the hotel saw anything. Hell I’m usually doing 80mph and don’t stop in Las Cruces unless I’m getting fireworks. I definitely won’t stop in that town after this.
Sorry for your loss! I hope you recover it.
Happy ending. Needs a rebuild.

Well tell the story on the chase and the recovery. Seems whoever crashed on the left side.

Honestly, if I told the story - people would call BS/wouldn’t believe it. The police were in on it, I’ll just leave it at that.

ok, so what is a rebuild? Typically that term is used on a engine issue. Are you referring to just the cosmetics rebuild?

Haha. Sorry, haven’t slept in about 40 hours. Looks primarily cosmetic (really fairings more than anything) but haven’t done a deep dive.

I do not believe engine has issues.
