Just love this bike. Not to be confused with the M 1000rr track bike which I might have bought but need a road bike. Came with the break away brake and clutch levers, billit rear sets, and brake guard. Can’t wait till the weather warms up. Planning on Akropovich headers and shorty muffler. Already have the muffler installed as a slip on. Stay warm brothers and sisters and stay safe!

Let me know if I can help you with a flash on that 2023. I have a race flash that has shown 204HP at the rear tire on my 2022 S1000RR. I need to remove my air box from my M1000RR and test it on my 2022 still with some dyno runs to provide more data. Then I am waiting on my 23 S1000RR still to arrive, or a local customer bike to put on my dyno for better comparison.

Thanks for the offer; I’m going to have Max In Connecticut flash and dyno the bike. He’s local to me and I will be able to keep my warranty.

Wow, I haven’t the slightest idea, except I just said he’s using BMW software. Maybe that’s a question you could ask of him.

Sorry, that wasn’t said well. I am guessing that he uses Bmw software.

I think what he’s getting at, is that some people offer “tuning services” and in reality they are just buying a BT and charging you for the labor and not giving you the handheld unit.

Oh, I see! I’ve been dealing with Max’s for a number of years; he does all the tuning himself, but I guess I’ll check it out next time I’m in there and see what he has to say. Thanks for the heads up.

From the Max site!
WILL TUNING VOID MY WARRANTY? Yes. BMW sends the bikes to the USA to meet emissions and warranty standards. We are making the bikes faster than stock. This will create much more wear and tear on your motorcycle. Many models have limits placed on them by the factory so they will last. We are removing those limits. MAX BMW Motorcycles does not offer a warranty on race products.

Max himself does all the tuning, so I believe he knows what he’s doing.

If you knew how many of the " max " ECU I repaired on tune issues you would not say he knows what he is doing. They cant do the 2022 from last I heard anyway, which means they cant do 2023 either.

As someone else posted, it might be the TOM and no one would really notice unless you are really using the 12000 to 14000 range alot in 4th 5th 6th. You really cant tell 192HP from 199HP if you are a average rider.
