The shock on my '16 is now at 30k km, I know they are not rebuildable, but what is everyone else doing?

Buying a stock one from BMW or from a racer who has switched to Ohlins?

Going a different way with Wilbers (with DDC - 3 of my riding mates have done that)?

I just buy replacements with lower miles. I did contact RaceTech and they indicated that can rebuild it from a oil refresh and some hardware replacement parts inside. They cannot change the orifice parts and revalve. The suggested oil replacement if you are a serious trackday / racer is every 3000 miles. Oil and aluminum tubes do not mix well and the contamination is pretty bad. I cut 2 rear shocks apart and the oil was the usual black with metal shavings.

Hmm. I have a DDC set that I pulled off my 2015 after break in and switched to Ohlins.
I was saving it in case I sold my bike, but I would be open to offers on it!
Prefer to sell the set though (forks and shock)
