Quickshifter suddenly not working Cruise Control Works

My advise is to reset the adaptations and see if that resolves the QS. I have seen where even ISTA showed 'adapted' and should be working, but a reset made it all better.

The 10-14 reset of the QS is very specific to get it right the first time. Upon the reset you are advised to ride the bike 45MPH 10 seconds in each gear. What you must do however is make sure you use the clutch going up into each gear, and down shift into each gear using the clutch. Trying to do this on the rear stand does not work 100% correctly like riding it does. Ride it so the front VSS and the VSS are on the same MPH and doing the relearn.

Its voltage based. Things just work different sometimes trying to simulate vs real world application of use.

Most people on here will not realize you have an 2014 S1000R. That is a BMSX ECU with the newer version code than the BMSKP ECU.

The QS is based on twist throttle position as well, which is another adaptation. Assuming you reset all adaptations and did the twist grip 0-100% reset on the GS911, and it showed SUCCESS then you have pretty much covered the hardware involved with the QS and CC.

That QS is really good on there. The next thing is to ohm out the wires and make sure one is not loose in a connector, or the pins on the BMSX ECU are not corroded.

The QS is also CAN BUS based on that model and you cannot do anything to resolve programming issues with the GS911. So you will have to see the dealer to possible update the ECU programming.

I had a bad low slide on the left side and bent my QS all half. I straighten it out and it still worked again. The hardware is solid. Software aspect of it is not.

The VSS is most certainly part of the CC function, and you dont have a VSS error on the GS911.

When you refer to the wires are you referring to where the quickshifter is plugged in?

i did also remove the ECU and used compressed air to clean the connectors. They looked good with no bent pins or corrision.
There was a PUMA on loose connections at the QS or even broken wire. I just cant remember if it was BMSKP or BMSX.

Send me your VIN so I can look at the factory coding option list.

You have already made an attempt at the correct fix yet you have not rode and tested. There is not much else to it if all the hardware shows correct in the GS911.

Outside of knowing your bike and maintenance, the QS connector has been an issue in the past, the QS itself can be bad.
