I'm moving to the Pittsburgh area next month and I'm curios how strict the annual inspections are on bikes with regards to things like Fender Eliminators (Yosh), Watsen Flush Mount turn signals, Full Exhaust (Akra long can)? My wife keeps reading me their list of inspection items so I thought I'd better ask.
I live in PA, not pittsburgh area though. I have not had a bike inspected in over 25 years, dont want the sticker on my fork and thats were they will put it! I Run aftermarket exhausts, Intergrated tail lights, flush mount blinkers and fender elim with plates down under rear tire so you cant really see it. Never ever been bothered, not once. Ride more worry less.
You just register online every year for your registration, $18 and you are done. Of course by law you are suppose to get it inspected if you choose not to thats up to you, lol. I choose not to.
Pittsburgh rider, not inspected after '15. Not many folks I know get theirs inspected either. Mine was inspected at the dealer with a buncha stuff done.
A pretty painless process. I had the inspection done by a dealer and nothing was said about any mods.
