Mods
It appears the day has arrived with this bike where the factory has gotten it just about perfect in terms of minimizing the necessity of most performance mods, especially with the exhaust for 2016.
The trend has been coming. I have a MB G63 which needs absolutely nothing in terms of performance enhancement. I have an Audi S5 Cab which sounds like a dream banging off shifts in sport mode. I wouldn't change a thing.
By comparison I have a 2013 GT500 convertible which is simply mental with headers, tune, pulley, filter, etc.
At the highest levels of (German) engineering manufacturers are making performance mods as unnecessary as upgrading your sound system. I never thought I would see the day.
My new Double R will be ready in a couple of weeks after covers, sliders, laser jammer/radar detector, etc are installed.
I think it's going to be fast enough dead stock. If you calculate the power to weight ratio of 2.26 lbs. per 1 BHP, 450#/199BHP, a LaFerrari or McLaren P1 at 3.7:1 to 3.8:1 gets smoked.
I can't wait.
