So I'd always kind of ignored the the SAS/PAIR delete stuff without paying a lot of attention to what it meant, for some reason in my head it was linked to the IAT relocation which I didn't really have any interest in. Anyways, I came across the delete kit again scrolling through things and noticed that it said that it was recommended for aftermarket exhausts as it would decrease the pops caused by the SAS flooding more oxygen into the system. My ECU is currently enroute to RS2E for their map/flash (and I'm asking them this question too) but I noticed that most of the kits are listed as being for like... MY 2019-2022.
I guess what I want to know is- is there anything different about the MY2024 (I know there's a different airbox there I think? Copied from the M?) that would make this not fit? Or is this something that will be entirely handled in software and I don't have to worry about it with the new flash, or is it still recommended/more optimal to do that delete (and/or the intake flapper delete?) with new headers on the 2024? Does it make an obvious difference? Is this something BMW is going to be more or less upset about w/r/t future warranty or service work than anything else I'm doing? Does it make any difference for the longevity of the engine or the ability of the O2 sensors to tune the AFR correctly?
Thanks!
