I have issue, I don't know when do I properly check oil level, on COLD or on OPERATING TEMPERATURE ?
Asking all these information becuase I did my oil change like 7-10 days ago, so I'm lost at all.
1. I started engine and waited it to reach 100C
2. I took off lower fairing
3. I took off screw for oil
4. I waited 2hours for oil to get out
5. I took oil filter out and did put new oil on it and cleaned around oil filter screw
6. I did put back the oil plug screw
This is where my questoin/problem begins
I poured TOTAL 3.5L of Bardahl 10w50 oil into the engine (3x whole containers and 4th half of contaner[0.5L]) Because each container has 1L of oil and 4th half so that's 3.5L of oil into the engine.
7. I did start bike and waited for operating temp 100C
8. There was no any oil leaks at all so I guess that's it
9. I turned off bike and waited 1-2hour to pass
10. I checked oil level and oil level was on maximum of glass on COLD
So what do you suggest to do, how can I check properly the oil level, when the bike is cold or when the bike is warmed up ?
