Ok I read thru a bunch of tire threads and most seem old so I'm asking for advice on the best tire out now (August 2021).
What tire are you feeling now?
I am looking for something probably 60% track and 40% street.
I am just getting into track riding, did my first one a few weeks ago and have another beginning of September. So I'm a novice. Looking for something with the best grip (track), I am not that concerned with longevity. A plus would be something on the street that handles occasional gravel and horse **** well (I live in amishland) LOL 😆
I have a 2021 s1000rr and still has the oem tires on it.

Best grip will be Pirelli TD, Michelin power cup 2, Metzeler RR K1. Followed by Dunlop Q4. These tires are only 2 seconds off slick pace.
Conti Attack 4, Bridgstone s21, Metzeler M9 would be less grippy, last about 20-40% more depending on your pace.

S21 Bridgestone is better than S22? What's the difference?
I do like the Metzler RR so I might try the K1s next or
the Pirelli TD sounds interesting.
What about the pirelli supercorsa sp v3?

SP v3 is more street oriented, TD is track oriented. More grip, less longevity. Also TD only comes in 60 profile. Which is what you want on track for faster agility.
S22 is newer.

K1 or TD will work well. Both come in 60 profile. I would go with whatever you find better deal on. Once you run 60 profile, you will not go back to 55.

At 60% track/40% street all above tires is waste of moneys. They will get destroyed in no time on street.

I am not too concerned about that, I am no Max Wrist or 650ib on the street. Just ride relatively normal. No smackdowns. No fastest thru the Tail runs. I get a little spirited some times but not worth it on the roads. I mostly ride my monster on the streets anyway.

Yes, I heard this, my friend swears by these. I had them on my 1290 Superduke which I sold, but I only rode street on that. It was a good street tire for sure.

Ah. Been thru there any number of times. Yeah, I lived in the cesspool of Cleveland from '91 to '03, and really the ONLY good riding was down south in Amish country. Buggies and horsesh!t being the major obstacles down there for sure!

I enjoy the mtn's of CO a lot more, but down South there was a LOT better than "The FILTHY Streets Of Cleveland" for sure...LOL Overall though, glad to be gone.

This is super interesting.
I was told with the carbon wheels that it’s not recommended to go down to a rear 190/55/17.
the bike would require some programming from the dealer. Dunlop says the Q3 have not been tested on the K67 and also did not recommend their tires.

Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV seems to be an option. Anyone get to try them yet on the BMW specified sizes?
