The bike isn't really that new, few more sensors, plastics and some M parts and chassis tweaks. Assembly lines probably mostly the same for a quick turnaround. I don't seem them discounting the bikes. Those days are over for now, unless the dealers want to cut into their own profits. BMW would just cut production, driving the price higher because they'll be harder to get.

I've had a parking spot for 6 months in my garage since 2017. Guess I had a good run if the bike shows up in a few weeks
The auto and motorcycle business is very much a supply and demand business, and the world is finally getting over the chip shortage. I expect inventories to rise, followed by a reduction in prices at the end of the season or this time next year. That’s when I think I will try to buy a S1000RR.

$26,480 OTD did the paperwork today. Bike being delivered to me on Wednesday.
I totally understand buying for MSRP, it’s the setup and additional handling that get me.

I live in MI now buy used to live in Jersey City and have been to CCBMW a few times. In fact when I was home the week before NYE, I stopped in to see what they had and I think they had a couple of 23’s on the showroom floor. At least I thought they did. They definitely had 22MY’s.

The bike was sold at msrp, doubt any dealer will discount these bikes at all right now. There were no set up fees. Just the destination fee of $695 which is built into the bikes price. The only fee was $175 for the dealer doc fee. I purchased my bike from MaxBMW in New Milford, CT. They're delivering it to NY for free so I couldnt ask for more.

Looks like luck of the draw.

This one w/cast wheels has Michelins.
This cast one has Bridgestones

This one w/carbon wheels has Dunlops

Did on some quick reading the Bridgestones seem to be a good tire.

Gixxers come with the Battlax tire. It's decent. But I'm a Rosso3 fan

I bought my 2010 S1000RR from MaxBMW in Troy, May of 2010. Probably my favorite dealer I’ve ever bought from. All others made me fight with them. Lol

Unfortunately for my wallet, I want an M Package with Premuim, Billet, and TPMS. Undecided on carbon wheels.

Yeah I'm west coast, I guess they put it on a train - dealer estimates 2.5 weeks once that happens. Going to try to ask the dealer to sell it to me as a demo too, they did for my single R, but this bike is clearly more desirable. We're almost there!

I want to know my container number but it’s tough communicating with my dealer unless I’m there in person.
I’m in TX. When I checked in roughly a week ago I was told it’s still on the ship.

Call BMW genius and say you ordered a bike, give them your VIN and they'll give you the container number.

Since it is mostly like still in the container. Do the container tracking sites show you an ETA for the next leg? or Do they stop w/the ships?
