Update on my M1000RR. It has been at the dealer for a little over a week now and the teardown/eval is complete. Metal debris was found on the magnetic drain plug and also throughout the oil-pan. BMW did not require further evidence and confirmed that they will be providing a new motor (newest SKU).

I have not yet gotten an estimate on when the new motor will arrive but at this point I've written off being able to ride the bike during the summer.

That's good news... I hope they do the same with mine... how many kilometer you had?

1300 miles so like ~2000km.
