I am about to change the nuts on my rear sprocket. What # locktite am I supposed to use? I seen it somewhere the other day but cant find it now, lol

I had no idea. What does the number signify? And how important is it to get that specific one or use any other blue loctite? Thanks

243 is slightly stronger than 242. Its just a updated product. Blue is used on most bolts that you don't want to come loose, but also still need to undo for maintenance and things.

Red 271 is more for things that won't be un done and requires heat to remove.

Recently changed my sprocket and chain. Torqued it to specs, but didn’t put any locktite on it. I guess I’m gonna have to take the wheel off again.

Did you wire tie them? There have been videos of ppl able to turn the bolts by hand.

No I torqued them down to the manufacturer spec. I’ll redo them this weekend to be safe.
