Limp mode?

505 Views 5 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  BMW_388
I have a 2011 S1KRR, I’m not sure if it’s in limp mode because it needs a new voltage regulator, but it doesn’t have a throttle problem, just won’t let me ride it past 3k rpm as of right now… not sure if that means it’s in limp mode or if it’s just not getting enough juice to go past 3k rpm

sounds like a possible voltage issue, but, can be the ECU itself will need to be cloned and replaced.

I can help you with that issue.

Enlighten me
Could be the injector drivers, could be the coil drivers. Both of which are in the ECU.

I have seen no RPM past 3000, past 8000, past 12000.. it just varies on the issue. Sometimes a software reload will fix an ECU, sometimes the ECU must be cloned to another ECU to fix the issue.

Send it and I will evaluate it for you.

Info? And that’s something you can fix or would somebody else have to after you diagnose it?
