Could you link the video which helped you?I’ll add this tool is fascinating. Looking at the correlation of the DTC vs grip position vs throttle % on corner exits blew my mind. So much good information on here.
My home track is not one of the 300 pre-loaded tracks so I added it in with gps coordinates from google maps. It’s really easy and there is a guy on YouTube that shows how to do it. Worth it if your into track days with your K67/66.
"I’m able to read the data via laptop, and see the counting clock on my dash, just doesn’t display any previous laps on the dash." I had the exact same issue. I did a track day on Thursday and at the start of the day I deleted all laps and reset the fastest lap. It seemed to have fixed the issue, even the Delta worked on the dash and all recorded laps now have data in them.Yes, the 22 M package comes with the m lap trigger (which my understanding is simply the authorization code to use the system). The 2d software authenticates this when you setup the program. I’m able to read the data via laptop, and see the counting clock on my dash, just doesn’t display any previous laps on the dash.
You’re saying I need to take it to the dealer to setup the ecu to be able to see the his info?
*I guess it doesn’t matter as long as I bring my laptop to the track next time. I have all the times and data on the usb stick it comes with.
Right, so when I go to that menu on the dash it gives me the number of laps completed, but all of the info/data is blank for each lap (no times, speed,etc.). It’s being recorded onto the usb stick via the 2d data logger, but nothing on the dash:"I’m able to read the data via laptop, and see the counting clock on my dash, just doesn’t display any previous laps on the dash." Damn, we are just starting here (the land down under).Right, so when I go to that menu on the dash it gives me the number of laps completed, but all of the info/data is blank for each lap (no times, speed,etc.). It’s being recorded onto the usb stick via the 2d data logger, but nothing on the dash:
Edit: did not see your response before. I’ll give it a shot but unfortunately last weekend was the last track day of the year for me.
Thanks!
I don't have any tune, only standard OEM for Oz which I think is the Euro?Yeah, it sucks. Family obligations or i’d take it out to Cali for the winter.
Quick question, does your bike rev hunt sometimes in neutral with the data logger plugged in? Mine seems to bounce between 1500-2000rpm every now and again. I asked BT about it but read that some external heat gear can cause that. Not a big deal but noticed it pretty bad while waiting at the start line a few times.
Yeah it’s weird and only happens to me with the 2D plugged in. Otherwise its had a steady purr after the flash.I don't have any tune, only standard OEM for Oz which I think is the Euro?
The start-up "choke" like revs are horrible, regardless of whether the engine is hot or cold. But I think that's "normal"?
So, no other than that I haven't noticed any rough type idle.
I did the “delete all laps” and “reset best ever” in the dash. Now it works like a charm!Hello
Sorry my English!
I’m from Barcelona, Spain
I have the same issue with the lap trigger.
It works (the laptimer running) but when I cross the finish line go back to zero and don’t shows any time on the display and it don’t store any data on the dash.
My bike is a k67 of December 21. Track use only.
I did buy the laptrigger with the code to install by the dealer. Theoretically, they did install the code properly.
The configuration of the bike is the same of the picture shows in this post (external device)
Anyone knows how can I do?
Tomorrow I will talk with the dealer, but they don’t “love” track bikes…
Any info is good reception
Thanks

If the software does not have your particular track already, you need to add the gps point. It should work automatically once that’s done:So how is the GPS external lap trigger actually supposed to activate? Was at the ridge motorsports Park today and wasn't able to get it working. No laps recorded even with config set to external.
Note: I have all the 2D hardware, including: data logger, USB flash drive, and gps antenna hooked up.

I can load data from the USB drive into 2D Analyzer without issue so all the communication and activation has been done correctly. Seems like the part I was missing is uploading the GPS start data to the 2D module.Just because you have all the 2D hardware in place, does not mean it will work with the ECU 100% without complete activation by the dealer with ISTA.
My M1000RR came with the GPS trigger software, but no hardware of course. I brought the GPS hardware and attempted to plug it all in and expected it to just work. I know how to set the lap trigger point based on GPS location in the software, and it would not create a laptime. So, since I program with ISTA anyway, I was able to get my FSC files I needed to fully initialize my ECU to accept the 2D GPS laptimer data over the CAN-BUS and then, it started to datalog the ECU and create lap times.
So, if you have a S1000RR or a M1000RR that is supposed to have the factory GPS Laptimer trigger installed, it does not mean it is fully activated for plug in and use.
So you indicated you have EXTERNAL in the TFT cluster in your menu's. So some of the software is installed to the cluster. The question is do you have 18F activation in the ECU so the 2D hardware will work with it.
I figured out where I went wrong lol. Back when I installed everything (months ago), I did everything besides exporting the custom GPS start point to the data logger. All looking good now! Just need to figure out front and rear pots. There are manuals on 2D website on how to use the software.
The data is logged on the USB thumb nail drive it is supplied with. However, you have to learn how to segment that into your lap data time frames. Then when you remove the thumb nail drive from the datalogger you insert it to the laptop and it starts WinARace and pulls in the data. Very complex to setup, but it does work once it all done correctly.
This 2D GPS laptimer for M1000 / S1000 system is so different from the HP Datalogger that was released for the K46. I have a firmware that allows the HP Datalogger to work on K67 and I use it the most. It uses AnnaLiza for the data evaluation and I find it so much better to use than WinARace.

Well, buying the hardware does not come with the FSC software. That is a separate price. Maybe the dealer does not know this? Maybe the dealer does not know how to retrofit the GPS laptimer feature with ISTA?Hi,
I've purchase the same 2D Data logger from BMW dealer, 77537921848, today I went to install the data logger at BMW dealer, but my dash doesn't shows any Trigger function for the lap timer, and I couldn't get any data from the USB stick provided in the kit.
I try connect directly with the USB cable provided in the kit,but I couldn't get any throttle or RPM data from the logging system as well, but the device is flashing blue light, does this means the installation went wrong by the dealer?
