Noobie here wondering whats going on with my front rotors they squeak coming to a slow stop , pads have little under half life they are brembo pads probably original, bike is
'13 with 5.6k miles street riding, they squeak comin to a stop but its as if it only squeaks once per rotation when coming to slow stop

Those are very light hot spots.

The pads over time will glaze if you dont push them a little hard once in a while.

You can remove the pads and run them over some sand paper to knock the glaze off. Then you can use a scotch bright pad to go around the rotors a few times to knock some glazing off them.

Thanks for the quick reply, how agressive of a scotch bright pad is acceptable for the rotors? also would 400 grit sand paper be alright for the pads. Thanks again.

the pads goal to be a little aggressive like a 120

Then the scotch bright about a green or blue pad is good.

You could probably use a brake bleed. If there's air in the lines it expands when hot and the pads don't retract all the way.

Get more aggressive with your braking. Anyway, long, slow stops are boring.
