The 12v power source at the front of the bike is the best way to go. It's ignition power so you can't flatten your battery and its close to the steering where your GPS will be mounted. The battery idea is actually harder.

Just buy this plug. Wire it into the positive and negative cables on your GPS harness. Done. Just check Pins 1 and 3 for power and earth on your bike and make sure you have it the right way round.

Is there any chance anybody could call out the wire color code for these wires. I find it obnoxious that no one mentions the color of the wires and what they do. How do you all *** sleep at night?
