For $155.00 i would do so many of these if it wasn't slightly over 3 hours away! FML.
That is for your first time riding with them.

Consider becoming a season member at NYST I think for 2018 it's $2950.00 about $75.00 per track day. You get almost 40 track days - preferred parking - no camping fees - free bike storage.

Really hard for other organizations to compete with NYST - they are doing this directly not through an organization.

TTD with a membership for just under $3K the average price per track day $175.00 and they go to 4 or 5 different tracks.

I've thought about doing the membership with NYST but it is only one track and I like going to different tracks.

I would too, I'm almost in the same boat. I'm just under 3 hours away.
I lucked put and can be at NJMP in just shy of an hour. Summit about 3, NYST I'm about 3.5 and VIR in 4.5. Really not bad at all considering other people's location.

I'm going to NJMP on Sep 24th, thunderbolt with Absolute Cycle. Taking my gsxr 600 though, not my BMW. I just picked it up the other day. Making it a dedicated track bike. Kinda scared to take my BMW right now because it's only my 2nd track day and I don't wanna risk wrecking it.
I'll be there too with absolute, but I will have my BMW there.

did you guys get a garage? I will be in garage 6-7 in the main building. stop by and say hi

Haven't been to NJMP in 3 or 4 years need to get back there. The problem is so many tracks have opened in my area it makes it really easy to do track days. Heck I'm going to Tamworth, NH the 18th and 19th - Thompson, CT 24th and 25th - Palmer, MA on the 28th and I just might go to NYST the 30th and the 1st.

Then it will be time to work on the bikes for a few months and hope to go to Jennings, FL at least once this winter.

Sorry I'm getting old I already posted all these dates.
Do you have room to bring two bikes down to florida when you go ?? If yes, my buddy and I will happily throw in some cash for you and meet you down there!!!

Unfortunately I don't - I bring my RR and R3. Well unless between now and then I buy a new (larger) trailer - which I have been considering.

Can you tell us what happened with the brakes? Did they fade - did something break?
New brake lines, and the line must not have been on tight enough on the front left caliper.. Rode all day and it was fine. picked up the speed as the day went by and started braking later and later. Then at the end I figured I would try to match my pace from last year and went in deep into t1 and when I grabbed the lever it sunk to the bar and I tried pumping it while using rear brake.. Got it slowed down quite a bit but not enough to turn enough to run in the grass towards t2.. Laid it down in the grass and it ended up on the tire wall lol. Thankfully I did not break anything or get hurt. I'm going to need a new helmet and I got some pain in my neck still but could've been a lot worse. Bike needs quite a bit work though :frown2:

Front left caliper was all greasy with a bunch of dirt on it so im assuming that was the issue. Sending it to a shop to fix the brakes. I do not feel comfortable touching the brakes again myself (same thing happened before from my brembo MC, however that time I ended up in the hospital)

That sucks man, I'm sorry that happened, but I'm glad you're ok. Your bike will be fixed. Don't be afraid to work on your bike, just be sure to double and triple check your work. I'm gonna have my track bike back up and running but not before the season ends ?

My track bike is almost back together as well. I'm still recovering from my wreck though. Bi lateral ankle sprains on both ankles, grade 2 on the right. Feeling a lot better, can finally run again but I still have some slight pain, ultimately gonna need surgery to be 100% pain free, but I'm holding off for a bit. Definitely gonna try and hit up NJMP again this season but might have to hold off on a track day until late July, early August.
