Gear rental or loan in Manhattan

Hi everyone,

I just relocated from SF to NYC (Manhattan) and had my motorcycle shipped. The bike arrived in exactly one week from when it was picked up in SF. The problem is that since the shipping company won't let you send anything personal, like gear, with the bike, all of my stuff was shipped separately and hasn't arrived yet.

My current dilemma is that I need to take the bike to get it inspected in less than 10 days and I doubt my gear will be here before then. This came to me as a surprise when I went to the dmv to get it registered.

Where could I rent a helmet, jacket and gloves? I tried a couple of places that do motorcycle rentals but they won't rent the gear without renting a motorcycle from them. My inspection appointment at the BMW dealership is this coming Wednesday.

Since I'm new in the city I don't have friends to borrow gear from, but maybe someone here would be able to lend me an old helmet for a couple of days? I don't mind repaying the favor with beer or cash :)

I live in the Upper West Side and work at Chelsea.

Thanks!

well, you can buy a cheaper equipment, or you can buy a used one. To be honest I would not recommend you this ways of dealing with your problem, your life depends on your equipment so I think it will be better to buy the best equipment. I think you should take a credit and buy the best equipment you can have
You can buy cheap ones and use them until you gear comes in.
Agree, your life depends on it so you have to choose wisely. A credit could save you in this situation, but it can also ruin your life pretty easy if you won't be careful choosing the right credit company. I am pretty sure all of us have ever heard scary stories about credit scams and how people were deceived by the credit companies. So, it is very important to find a good credit company that will offer you a good credit option. To cut it short, I will help you and I will give you a great credit company that has a lot of positive feedback from the customers that used to have a credit from this credit company. Check this site https://credit-10.com/nl/zakelijke-lening/ and you will see that I am right

Hey there, I'm new to this forum so apologies if I'm late to the party! I stumbled upon this thread while looking for similar info on gear rental in Manhattan. It's frustrating when your gear doesn't arrive with your bike, but safety should always come first.

It's frustrating when your gear doesn't arrive with your bike, but safety should always come first. Buying new gear can be pricey, but buying used or cheaper equipment may not offer the same level of protection. Taking out a loan to buy high-quality gear might be a good option, but loans can be tricky. I recently discovered Mortgage Broker in Nuneaton, which offers helpful insights on any type of loan. They might be able to guide you on taking out a loan for gear if needed.
