So I filled my gas tank this morning.

It said I had 155 miles remaining. Cool.

I ride it home and that took about 40 miles.


But it still said I had 155 remaining.

It’s stuck on 155 miles.

Do I have a bad fuel strip situation happening? If so is that a recall thing? If not how much does that typically cost to fix?

Mine does the same thing. I get close to 170 miles to a tank if I top it off to the fill neck. The float is below the fuel line until you use enough for it to move causing the reading to be accurate.

Yup. That’s exactly what happened. I just never noticed it before?

You guys must not have any ethanol. I get way less here in Cali.

The gas gauge only goes up to 155. My S1000XR could do 200+ miles on a tank on freeway alone. The gauge maxed out at 155.

I'm on the east coast in Maryland and we have 10+% ethanol. They only recently started selling 89 octane non-ethanol gas but thats usually the same price as 93 w/ethanol.
