Probably a dumb question but I just wanna get some opinions or actual answers before I give my buddy the wrong info. He's replacing the front axle on his duc after getting tires balanced. Wants to lubricate it. Is 3M white grease OK to use on the front axle? Anyone have any suggestions?

I have no clue how a DUC front wheel is designed, but, if like BMW, there is a sleeve inside the hub that allows the bearings to press against it, and it is a good idea to have some light grease on the axle to keep the sleeve from rusting internally. Not really there to make the axle go in much better, but keeps the rust down.

Yes, it has that sleeve. What I've been able to find so far is white lithium grease seems to be the concensus. I have a spray can of that in my garage that he's planning on using. Just wanted some extra info from others that I communicate with often on here to kinda make sure he's not using something he shouldn't lol.
And thanks for the reply 😁👍🏼🤙🏼
