First service rev-limiter still active?

Hey guys, first post here. 670 miles on the bike now, been to the dealer 4 times in two days. First stop was for them to do the first service on the new '22 S1KRR I bought. I did the oil and chain myself. They performed the rev-limiter removal. Off I went on home. Decided to open her up, and the limiter was still active at 9k rpm. Took her back about an hour later, watched them hook it up to the computer and again remove the rev-limiter. They revved it past 9k in neutral to verify. During the ride home (20 min) it was great. Went past 9k like it was supposed to, but then something weird happened halfway through the ride. The rev-limiter came back and was present at 9k. I called and they said to bring it back and they will do a full software update. Did that this morning, and again rode back home. During the first part of the ride, the rev-limiter was gone, but then came back shortly after. The dealer is now saying they will need to get BMW involved to create a case. Mods are listed below, but take note, there has not been a tune put on the bike YET. Wanted to get this first service stuff out of the way before that was put on.

Mods: Brentune IAT relocation, K&N filter, full arrow exhaust, flapper delete, engine block off plates.

I have seen one ECU for the K67 that would not set adaptations, and on another the DTC would not work. So the ECU can have an issue such as this. The ECU will likely have to be replaced.
Turns out it was one of the shiftcam sensor plugs not plugged in all the way causing all of this!

I think I’m having the same issue as you. As soon as I got on the road after my first service I noticed the bright flashing light between 6-9k rpm and as soon as I hit 9k, the bike stops accelerating. When I called the sewer and explained my exact situation, he said it was likely wheelie or slip control kicking in. But it happens every time I ride at the exact same rpm. I was told to just look through the manual. Same year and model as you.
I'm not trying to highjack the thread from OP but has anyone heard of an S1k coming out of the showroom WITHOUT the rev limiter enabled?

Could a dealer possible have removed it since the buyer was out of state?

It has happen many times. If you buy the S1000RR on the race program and the warranty is voided anyway, so the dealer removes the limiter and has no worry.

then there are people that come to me from dealers recommendation that have the limiter removed and I do the flash with only 4 miles on the bike.
