First Gen motor problems

Hey guys, so I currently have a 2011 s1k that I had bought about a year ago with 14,600 miles currently with 16,864 all it has done to it is a slip on muffler and a power commander and I had taken into the dealership cause it had started running a little weird, still ran and started just fine, just sluggish in low rpm’s and idled a little low but still would pick up just as hard as normal if you got on it. I wanted to do the 18k service a little early as well when I had first taken it in. Ended up getting quoted 12k cause they said in needed a whole new motor. Was told all 4 cylinders were running on 60 psi which doesn’t make sense for me for all across the board to be running that low at the same psi all of a sudden and then to need a whole new motor. Any thoughts or help? Definitely looking to take it to another shop at the minimum.

do the compression test yourself. If you dont know how and are close to dallas I can do it. I can also provide a replacement engine for alot less than that quote. If the PSI is really 60, it will need replaced.

Is this the type of reliability we can expect from having a BMW? Replacing a street bikes motor at 12k miles? Or do you believe this bike was likely thrashed? What is your opinion on this?
I have 2 S1000 in my garage, both with 40,000+ miles, neither ahs engine issues.

Someone abused it most likely. S1000RR engine on street and canyon type riding would last 100,000 miles if maintained well.
