Had my 6000 mile service on the 2015 RR yesterday. Chain was at about 2" (bit over 50mm) of slack. Reset to 1.75" (about 45mm...the bottom of the BMW-recommended range). All "chain snatch" issues vanished. The gradual stretch of my chain over 6000 miles was just enough to get it barely outside the top of the range BMW wants, and that was enough to induce the snatch I felt.

All good. Also had quick shifter recall accomplished.

Bike gets better and better. Best I've owned yet.

Mods so far: Tall tinted OEM screen, Yosh fender eliminator, Akrapovic carbon slip-on...and last...Heli bars. Modest, but very enhancing modifications...:)

Agreed, had to triple check the spec. Looks/feels like a lot of slack to me as well.
I guess bmw's main thing is longevity, loose chains means longer rate of investments, as opposed to tighter chains mean quicker wear, and another trip to the dealership
