Good morning friends.

I am writing to you from Spain, last week I had the satisfaction of buying a new BMW S1000RR 2023.

The surprise came today when they called me from the dealer indicating that they cannot deliver it to me since it has a STOP campaign.

Supposedly the campaign has to do with the brake lever.

Could you help me?

Bueno, tengo mi moto totalmente pagada. Así que por ahora el dinero y la moto están en tus manos.

¿Y no sería más fácil montar unos tiradores originales y poder entregar el producto mientras buscan una solución?

And because of that ruling they prohibit the delivery of the motorcycle? I don't understand anything

I doubt BMW will release your bike, even if you pay for a stock handbrake and installation.

Just hope the fix or new levers don't take as long as the case cover screws did.

S**t happens, life sometimes goes sideways, no sense getting bent out of shape over it.

Yes. It sucks as I know the torture you must be feeling to be so close to having your bike. But at least it's not a situation where you've paid for something and sort of can't ride it. I'm in that situation. My bike has the intake camshaft recall. But there are currently no parts and the only estimate is maybe March. Granted there is no stop ride order attached to the recall, I am choosing to be more cautious with this. So I've put my bike up on pit stands and haven't ridden it for about 2 months now.

My ‘22 is currently in the shop for the camshaft recall. The parts arrived at my dealer in Southern California yesterday.

I have an issue with my M brake lever and was looking forward to having it replaced during this service. This stop sale threw a wrench in that plan.

How so, you have a different lever than the MY2023?

The Service Advisor looked at mine and said “this looks exactly like the ones that are being recalled, so let’s wait until updated replacement parts are available and swap it out at that time.”

I don’t think he’s 100% correct but I’ll play ball if it means updated part.

No. They will supply the reworked M levers as the issue affects billet pack bikes and the customer has paid for this option, so they must be corrected with the same. Using a standard lever is not satisfactory (even though the current M is also not). Hopefully parts supply is not an issue which will impact delivery.
