Since you are new to posting again on the forum.. welcome to that.

There are 100's of threads already about the 2020 and it greatest that is, and the delays that it has currently. Will it all get worked out by march 2020? Maybe.

there is STOP SALE order to the dealers world wide. Oil Cooler hose issues and there is already alot of posting on it.

Thanks @BMW_388. I don't know why my account was only allowing me to post in this section. But my dealer here has the M in stock and I just wanted to have an expert advice whether to go for it or not. I guess I will wait till all these issues are fixed.

The trouble with advise is most of it is based on opinion not hard facts.

So as an 'expert' licensed roadracer it is my opinion that the 2020 S1000RR hits the mark for the guy looking for a track weapon. While it is needing an ECU upgrade to overcome some governmental EPA mandates issues, my expertise in ECU programming has allowed an upgrade that targets the issues and steps forward in overall performance. Forum vendor @MotoMillion has picked up my abilities with sales on direct ECU programming or a handheld option both. I supply support on tech and solutions in other updates via phone or email. PM me for details.

The other area that the 2020 really shines in is the new rear suspension. The mechanical grip in the corners has reduced lean angles and maintaining speed compared to the out going K46. The front tire feel is much better also.

Does the 2020 have other problems however? Yes, the new engine vibrates so bad. There are factory manufacturing issues on various things like front forks, coils, oil coolers, brake calipers... and there is a list that can go on. it will be 2021 before this K67 is fully smoothed out in production and parts. Would I miss out on having one to ride today? No. I love the bike and I will work around the issues even if I have to fix them myself since most of the dealers dont even have parts for the K67. My front forks dont make noise, my calipers didnt leak, my oil cooler has 6000 miles on it and it does not have any leaks. Love the bike.

What is the difference from US bikes in delivering power?
The North America K67 was hit with some heavy EPA restrictions compared to the Euro version. 2nd and 3rd gear have alot of throttle body reaction reduction in performance, which also has a huge reduction in torque performance. I have an informational webpage with some charts and pics on it. If you want a solution to the issue the ECU will require a performance flash which can be delivered to the ECU via a handheld unit made by DimSport and distributed by forum vendors like @MotoMillion. There are a couple of choices on approach of the code changes. My programming is based on BMW engineered code that is also proven on the road racing circuits world wide.

This is the information webpage I put together, and I work with MotoMillion as a technical support person on the BMW S1000RR 2009-2020.

This is @MotoMillion webpage on the handheld unit and direct ECU programming. The XWORKS handheld option is also available from @MotoMillion via email request.
