Hey guys,
Me and a buddy spent some time trying to figure out how to upgrade the headlights from the stock candles to a much brighter LED. We managed to figure out a solution that met all my requirements which were the following:
We did have to do some splicing to get everything to fit properly, but very minor wiring that most people would be capable of with a quick DIY. Here are some pictures that I took to show what we accomplished. I was debating making a DIY video on all the steps and parts we used and how the install was done, but figured I would put a feeler out before going through all that effort.
Being that there's a foot of snow and it's -20° C out I can't really test it to see how well the heat dissipation works, but they are well reviewed bulbs for tight fit applications so I've got high hopes.
Again, if anyone else wants to know how to do this let me know and I'll start to make a DIY video.
UPDATE: Here's a link to the video
