Happy New year 🎉
Mine 2023 is equipped with full titanium Akrapovič system, so what about weight and power delivery, is it huge improvement or marketing joke?
On Motorrad website is written -4 kg of what,
193.4 - 4 kg ,or...?
Its basically the same as stock but its Titanium. Its still got the cats and collector box. Waste of money but sometimes they include it in the package anyway.

Who ever uses the GPS lap timer ?
I ordered 3 of the M GPS units when they first came out and I put one on my M1000RR and one on my S1000RR. Sold one of the units already to another racer last year ( 2022 ) . I actually like the HP DataLogger better and still use it 100% of the time on my 2021 and 2022 S1000RR.

Hopefully not a silly question but do the winglets on the 2023 pose any kind of issue or obstruction on the track when getting a knee down? It looks like there should still be plenty of clearance but again I haven’t seen it in person (yet).

I can't see what the other junk fees are at the end with the video thumbnail blocking the fee description.

But the major fees I'm seeing are $695 delivery fee, $993 setup fee, and $282.95 of the miscellaneous junk fees I can't see the itemization of. That's a total of $1970.95 of additional fees on top of MSRP. Makes me appreciate my dealer more with them only charging a doc fee of $499 which includes the title/tag fee as the only dealer related fee.

I think the $695 delivery is standard across all dealerships in the USA.

$993.40 setup
$52.75 VIT (Vehicle Inventory Tax)
$125 Document
$18.95 Vehicle Inspection
$86.25 License.

You have a good dealer!

The BMW Appreciation page is no longer showing discounts for BMW CCA or BMW MOA and their isn't a Military Discount for the 2023 S1000RR. The price of being an early adopter.

When I asked about the Military Discount, I received the following...

Dear,

Thanks for contacting BMW Motorrad USA regarding your the Military Member Discount and your interest in the 2023 BMW S 1000 RR. I appreciate your inquiry.

Authorized BMW Motorrad dealers are independently owned and operated and ultimately set the final retail price for the products and services they sell, as well as the incentives they participate in. While the discount doesn't include the 2023 BMW S 1000 RR, a dealer may be offering their own discount. We recommend speaking with the sales manager at your BMW Motorrad dealer as they are in the best position to address your questions further.

BMW Motorrad dealers can be found on our website: www.bmwmotorcycles.com, under the “Find a dealer” link.

Should you need to contact BMW Motorrad Customer Relations and Services again, you can reach us at 1-800-831-1117 Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. ET and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET.

Thanks again for taking the time to write us, Stephen.

Kind regards,

Thanks for the break down. Yes, they've been pretty decent with me. To be clear, this was when I purchased my MY22 in February of last year. I also got a $500 demo discount even though the dealer tech and I were the only ones to throw a leg over my bike. And they threw in the BMW radiator/oil cooler guards. But my dealer didn't charge for the $695 delivery fee. And I don't think they buried that fee in the MSRP price as everything lined up with what standard pricing was.

That blows. I tried to get the EMS discount but BMW was only offering for active duty and I've since retired out.

Looked at my bill for when I purchased my bike in 2020 (2021 year model). The only additional fee($329) I was charged was doc fee, and sales taxes. The delivery fee, which was part of the msrp, was $495. To my surprise, I was not charged a setup fee.

There's a recent YT video by Thatonegt on Riverside BMW. The salesperson, Jeff, explicitly says at 13:05 that there's no "double dip" or additional dealer markup on any of their 2023 models...you pay MSRP plus tax (if you're a CA resident), tag and title. Similarly, Cyclewerks of Barrington, IL (sales person Mike Abt) will not charge additional setup or other fees. I guess it behooves one to shop around a bit, or wait.

I'm REALLY trying to hold off on putting a down payment and placing an order until i know I have a gig lined up after this deployment but... seeing it in the builder on the website is one thing (looks really good to me), seeing it in actual pictures??? Oh man... making it really hard not to just pull the trigger lol
