The season is upon us, figured I'd start this one too.
Looking forward to seeing Aprilia and how they do. Curious to see if Yamaha did anything to help Fabio and I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing a healthy MM93 this season.
I've never been a fan of aero on motorcycles, I think for the most part it's made them look ugly even though I understand the purpose. They don't look as bad on production bikes anymore, i guess they've grown on me but, this Aprilia "F1 style" wing...I get it, motoGP is the premier class, like F1 for cars...but this?? On bikes?? I hated the stegosaurus aero that they started using last season, I dislike this even more...

Great ride by MM93. I saw he tested the Kalex, did he run it in the race?

I wonder if they (Honda) don't think it's ready yet? Needs some tweaks? It just sucked to see the bike just give out on Marc. Hopefully this new chassis helps...
I see there is talk of 6 KTM's next year with MM93 and Pedro Acosta on the other...whom is in the factory, factory seats would be interesting.

As KTM would run Husqvana and Gas Gas and KTM they would argue they are all factory.

Brad, Miller and MM on KTM's would be fun

Haven't seen that yet, but I'm not surprised.

I think Fernandez's contract expires at the end of this season so MM93 could be on a GasGas KTM. Or that opening would allow for shuffling to get MM on a factory bike. But who'd get demoted from the factory team? Binder or Miller? Neither would be happy about that.

However (if) it happens, as much as I like Binder, I'm afraid MM would run away and hide from Binder and Miller.
Just re-read your post. Is there talk of adding 2 more KTMs and calling them Huskies?

Yes, but as you say, shuffling the deck would be interesting, Redbull sponsor MM and KTM...
IF this is true.... IF this does happen....I see MM93 replacing Binder instead of Miller for the "Factory" seat. I would like to see Marc go to Ducati though honestly.... or even Aprilia, hell just leave Honda already lol

Ducati would be too easy.
Aprilia and KTM need a hero.

Lots of ifs and buts... I think Spanish Dorna will not want to see him stuck midfield, when he can still break Italian records

I am starting to wonder, with Ducati and potentially the KTM's (and GasGas) expanding their stables in moto GP, if it is worth for Honda and Yamaha to pull out of the show. It looks like H&Y have several years to catch up to the competition. Will Dorna have to make some rule changes to deal with the unbalance between the inline 4 bikes the V4.

I think the concessions rules need tweaking. We need H&Y to catch up.

Could do a token system.
If you're off the podium for 5 races you get a day of testing with race riders.
If you're off for 10 you can have an aero update.

But ultimately Y&H need to stop being Japanese about it. They need to embrace lessons from Europe.

Aprilia and KTM have hired away from Ducati... Yamaha and Honda got some critical engineers from Suzuki...they need time to affect change.

Yeah, I thought MM was just pure joy and horror to watch - I liked how he just handled his race when pushed out by Bez. I also thought Bez should've been the recepient of minus 2 spots, not one as that mistake cost MM 2 spots, but whatever and he had more than enough pace either way. Great scary race.
Agreed and well put, a joy and horror to watch. My wife and I both found ourselves shaking our heads at how well he managed the bike on the brakes into turns, but then holding our breath wondering if his bike would give out on him as the race went on, only to see it wash out from under him on the penultimate lap. Tough break, but it really is good to see him back competing.

If he leaves his Honda contract early, and I hope he does, my money is on MM riding with KTM in 2024. But right now I'm not sure if his teammate would be Binder or Miller.

If Marc had made that contact with Pecco instead of Maverick, people would be calling for his head. Glad it wasn't more serious. But Maverick smacking Pecco afterwards was pretty funny.

Looking forward to the Beast being back on the track in Italy. I hope he stays healthy and battles hard with Pecco the rest of the season.
