It appears Brent tuning already has one in their stable as well. They note that the restrictions built in are the strongest yet due to the shorter gearing in general BMW loaded even more restrictions than other recent bikes. As we all know an uncorking is mandatory on shiftcam engine equipped BMWs this one more than most…

Hope the tune is good to go when mine comes in as I’ve ordered the full exhaust and Brenn tune

I don’t disagree with you. But his stage one is 50 states compliant and won’t work without a check engine light with a full exhaust. That’s how I understand it anyway. This bike doesn’t need more power it will be on TC in first 5 gears most of the time already 🫤

I’m having all this done brand new at dealer with a Dyno break in, bluing the headers and the tune, presumably with a flash to avoid any check engine. From what I’ve been told, factory has the low end so corked for US compliance that it’s almost like a 600cc bike until you get up top. I figure since I’ll mostly live and breathe between 0-85mph, that’s where I most want the bike to perform well. But I’m not the most savvy person on these matters

I ordered my bike with torque optimized map. A friend has the same on his RR and quite happy with it. What is the consensus about the torque optimized map?
What is there to think about the TOM. If you can ride like it performs then it is all you need. I and other professional riders could never live with the TOM as the mapping. The HP is cut so bad at 12500 and the torque curved is moved from 9200 to the 5000-6000 range killing the top end. Street only, it works. RaceTrack type days, it does not work at all.

My understanding is that basically a stock S1000R of a few years ago before they started doing this **** would be faster than a stock brand new MR. Thank god we have options! Just reminds me how hopeless I was 4 years ago when I got one of the first K67 in the country and there was no tuning options for a while and the bike was basically unrideable. Especially at altitude the bike was so chocked up it was mesmerizing. Great Starbucks bike. Track bike or decent street riding is impossible. Lloyd was first one with an option but still too late for me I didn’t have the patience 😅 bike was gone not a month later and the new owner who is a private pilot happened to fly to Dallas a month later and had Lloyd flash the thing days after he had figured out his flash process.

We’re all ears. Lay it out here!
I mean I hope my solution is the solution because I’m spending $$$ to unleash the full potential. Fully titanium Akrapovic Headers and GP cans, Brenn Tune, Dyno break-in etc. this bad boy should be ready to rock right off the lot. P.S. I’m not a content creator but given how starved I’ve been for new content on this bike, I’m planning on shutting the unboxing, hopefully the tuning etc and maybe I’ll take a crack at putting together a video.

You do it! Especially if you are #1 on your dealer’s list!
