Today as I was going to the track, bike started acting strange and then an error message appeared advising me to have it checked by a specialist workshop. Probalby one of the coils, bike lost its power and sounded like a tractor.
I literally had to return from the entrace of the racetrack but at least all the japanaese bike owners had their laugh. I wish I was one of them.
I think I am gonna get rid of that pos.

You've had so much trouble with your bike! I'd be tempted to light it on fire, and shoot it for good measure.

2021 ZX-10RR to be announced Monday! Love Kawasaki, but my money still went to the 2021 BMW
Kawi makes powerful bikes, but not nimble or light. I hope Kawi updates their electronics and make the bike lighter. They are still doing well in WSBK, so don't expect an major updates but I hope I"m wrong.

That's false statement mate. Kawa is nible and light. One of popular bikes in club racing.

How much weeping/fluid is normal from these front forks. Bike is getting closer to 4k miles now. Was told initially this will clear out . Both sides are the same - neither worse then the other.

2020 rr all street use. Going to the dlr next week for the broken frame finisher. I will bring this up as well...

Yours definitely looks like it has a little bit more to it then normal. Have you been wiping it after every ride? Mines not that bad. I would also see if the dealer has a updated part number for the frame finisher supposedly from what I’ve heard on Facebook there is an updated part number

Ive just got a anwser for the dealer concerning all my issues.
-For the hard to get into neutral: they are changing the clutch and doing a dme software update
-changing my front left flasher due to water ingress
-my left heel protector will also be replaced since it snapped in half
-my multifonction wheel will get change a second time

and for the noise in the front end: after measuring the fork play and doing a video sent to the tech support to get the job approved:
they are changing the forks.

On a previous work order I had:
-a cracked rear carbon wheel and rear shock that was leaking

Basically in one year with all the stuff done on my bike claimed by warranty: it covered the cost of a brand new bike.

I hope all my issues are resolved afterward, I lost my bike for around 2 months this season due to mechanical issues.

Is there a lemon law in Canada? I would have asked for a new bike or have BMW buy it back.

Wow - that's a lot. I had a first year KTM super duke that had a similar litany of problems. After the first year it was sorted and was one of the best bikes I ever had after that. Fingers crossed yours turns out the same.

my friends 1290 just blew up a piston. It was a miracle it didn't exit the case.

A coil failure is also due to happen, so do not be surprised when it does.

I was talking with a guy on Facebook who had misfires. The dealer told him it was due to fuel getting spilled on the coils.
Since I know that, i'm extra careful when fueling my bike. I'm still prepared to get the bike on a tow truck next season due to misfires Issue.
That would be my 3rd tow truck ride, yay!!! 😬

I missed the last rides of the seasons due to all the parts being ordered and waiting for BMW to get new forks approved..
It's mental torture to see all the group rides on local forums when your bike is stuck at the shop. I would of kept riding for at least 3 weeks. 😕

This forum is really helpful and full of knowledge. With out this thread I would of kept that loose front end since the first two techs told me it was a ''normal condition''. (y)
