Recently got a '17 RR, with 1,111 miles on it....plus it just had a new motor put in, so I completed the 600-mile service at 1,750 miles on the odo.

In between, did some basic street mods:
-- Shogun Carbon Fiber-inlay frame sliders
-- Shogun Carbon Fiber-inlay rear spools/sliders
-- R&G front fork sliders
-- Motografix front number plate decals, white (the all-black nose fairing was uninspiring to me)
-- Motografix tank pad
-- Graves fender eliminator
-- Painted oem catalytic converter black
-- Austin Racing slip on

Here's some pics:

Looks like a good build and I am sure you are enjoying the ride.

If you decide you need RCK3 / HP Power kit enables for the ECU, or a Full exhaust only enable coding.. hit me up. That way your warranty does not get voided by the dealer if they install these enable codes.

Thanks, 388 . I threw around the idea of full exhaust, but my track days are over and I can’t use all of the stock power on the street, anyway. Didn’t make sense for me to sink funds into exhaust upgrades and all the ECU pros/cons/options/worries, so went slip on. And too old for internet/gas station horsepower wars, lol.....

Basic upgrades and just ride the bike are my goals.

Love this bike, though.....brings a smile to my face every time and hate putting it away in the garage when the ride is over. I always take the long way to every destination and back, heh.

Need to get back to the mountains/canyons....roads a little too cold and wet lately.

Sweet looking ride mate. The Austin Racing slip-on looks the goods, how does it sound? Just wondering if you used VHT paint on that scrotum?

Scrotum? Great....now I’ll always think about that on my bike, lol. :surprise:

Yes, the VHT Flameproof matte black. Took 1/2 hour to tape/mask all the bits and angles off....pain in the azz. But the spray went on smooth and easy in 3 light coats. Now, at least the scrotum has a black jock strap and isn’t hanging out there for all to ogle

Sound is a little deeper and slightly louder than stock....not loud since it’s a slip on, but not like the oem sewing machine sound, either. I didn’t want the loudness of the full system. Definitely won’t need to put in the included decibel killer tube, though. Fitment is perfect, welds and workmanship look great.

MotoMummy.com (in Texas)....gave me a great price, but not sure if that was a Thanksgiving-time deal or normal. It was such a good price, compared to Akra/SC Project, that I didn't ask questions...LOL.

Excellent communication and service, as it comes ordered from England. Worked through "Mike" and he said about 4 weeks time cuz AR makes it when you order and then U.S. customs.....it came in 5 weeks, which was fine.

Update for someone who asked a while ago....

Yes, the exhaust now pops/backfires on downshifts that couldn’t be heard with the oem can.

Got used to it, sounds good.... LOL
