I have a 2017 RR with OEM Sachs 46mm Sachs forks with DDC. I disassembled and removed both cartridges. According to Haynes Manual, the right leg takes 528ml of oil and 90mm of air. When I measure the fork oil level, the right leg is very low, and the left(DDC) is correct.
I just noticed that the the Haynes Manual says a 2015/16 would take 580ml of oil versus the 528ml for the 2017. That just might be the "missing" difference. Is there any way I can determine for certain which fork set is on this bike?
The Sachs sticker says 03/24/2017 as the manufacture date, so it wouldn't surprise me if they were 2015/16 forks. Including picture of

the fork sticker.....

Many Thanks in advance!

That is a 2017 fork. It was made March 24th of 2017 for the 2017 product line. Even a fork manufacture date of 24/11/16 would still be a 2017 fork.

Put the oil in based on the manual RSD. There is a download of it on the forum.

For 2017 the left leg should be about 215 ml of oil to get a level of 82.5 mm , and the right leg should be about 560 ml for a height of 82.5 mm. That is the height with the fork fully compressed without spring and spacer. That's direct from the service DVD, trying to save you searching for the info.

Thank you very much for the info. I reached out yesterday to "MaxBMW." They were extremely helpful also! It appears that there are several variants in what a given bike can be composed of. Using the last 7 of the VIN seems to narrow it down...
Thanks again!
